Rahul Gandhi is adamant on going to Sambhal but he is not getting permission from the administration. After being stopped at the Ghazipur border, he said that he was ready to go to Sambhal alone with the police but he was not being allowed to do so. The Congress leader also said that preventing him from going to Sambal is a violation of his privileges as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. After leaving for Sambhal, the police stopped him at Ghazipur border of Delhi. When stopped by the police, Rahul told reporters, "We are trying to be careful, but the police is refusing." As the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, it is my right to go there. But still he is stopping me. This is against my right to be the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.'' He said, ''I have said that I am ready to go alone. I am ready to go with the police but they did not agree to that and now they are saying that they will let us go after a few days.'' Showing a copy of the Constitution, Rahul said, ''This (being prevented from going to Sambhal) is democracy. Is against. We want to go carefully and see what happened there. We want to meet people but I am being deprived of my constitutional right. This is India that is destroying the Constitution. India is the one that is destroying Ambedkar ji's Constitution.
